DRESS CODE 2009-2010
Brighten Academy believes that dressing for success is important to learn at an early age; therefore, a dress code will be required of all students. Please refer to the following policy for specific dress code requirements. If you have questions concerning suitability of a particular item, please see a member of the Brighten administration.
Please review the revised dress code for changes going into effect for the 2011-2012 school year. Please note that the changes will be effective on January 1, 2012 (second semester).
There are many locations to purchase uniform apparel with all different price ranges but Lands' End offers a 3% donation of the net to Brighten Academy.
- Go to www.landsend.com/school
- Choose the category (Uniforms for Girls or Uniforms for Boys) and click on the appropriate size range
- Select the product category (polos, pants, shorts, etc.)
- Select the item and click the size next to the color you would like
- Enter our preferred school number (9001-1414-1) in the box that will appear after the item is ordered.
- Place the item in your shopping bag and continue shopping or proceed to checkout.
Please note: When placing a Catalog Quick Order, or ordering items outside of the School web pages, enter the Preferred School number in the "optional order instructions" at the bottom of the shopping bag. Items outside of the School catalog or School web site do not qualify for the 3% contribution
Apparel that follows the dress code is acceptable from any vendor and doesn't need to specifically be a uniform.

Brighten Clothes Closet
Brighten Academy maintains a clothes closet available for all Brighten Academy families. Donations of outgrown, gently worn uniforms are accepted. Families of Brighten students may look through clothes closet when available at school functions. Families new to Brighten Academy, families who are not able to attend school functions, or families who have a specific need during the school year when no school functions are scheduled may submit a request form. The Brighten Clothes Closet is seeking donations of gently used tops and bottoms (shorts/pants/skirts/jumpers) that meet the school dress code. Clothing may be dropped at the front office of Brighten Academy.
