A little known, but important fact:

Each and every student who walks through Brighten’s doors faces a funding gap of over $1000! These are funds that are required, per student, for instructional and operational needs, not extra-curriculars. This fiscal void can ONLY be filled through continuous private and community wide support.   

Brighten’s “Tree of Life” represents our ongoing effort to ensure that we are “bridging the gap” for ALL of our stellar students.

Here’s how it works:

• Tree of life is found on the hall in front of the administrative offices.
• Choose either a gold or a red apple from the adjacent bulletin board. Each represents a different level of giving! A red apple equals a $50 donation, a gold a $250 donation
• Take the apple, along with a completed donation form (also found on the bulletin board) with your check  & turn them  into  the front office.
• Your family’s name will be etched onto the apple, and added onto our tree. If you are a GOLD DONOR, you will also receive a tee shirt, which when worn, will allow you special VIP TREATMENT at ALL board sponsored events at Brighten!
• A thank you letter, specifying the details of your donation, will be sent to you for tax purposes.  
• Growth updates will be provided periodically via the Brighten Bulletin
