After School Program (ASP)

The Brighten Academy After School Program offers homework help, creative play, and healthy snacks in a safe environment. The program hours are 3:00-6:00 p.m. Contact Uniqua Morrow at [email protected] with any questions or follow payment information further down.  

Summer Update

​Registration for the 2025-2026 ASP enrollment list will open at 8am each day during the week of July 7-11. We will prioritize registration in this order: kindergarten, then 1st-2nd, then 3rd-4th, then 5th, then middle school.  If a family has more than one student, please list everyone on the form when you register the youngest student. We will fill the first 100 spots and start notifying families on July 14 about their placement. A student cannot register for ASP if they have a balance in MSB. ​

The After School Program is a PREPAID program.  Invoices are sent out weekly on Wednesdays BEFORE the active week and are due Fridays BEFORE the active week.  Payments not made by the due date will incur a $10 Late Payment Fee.

FEES:
  • A non-refundable yearly registration fee in the amount of $10.00 per child is required for
           participation in the After School Program.
  • This is a PREPAID program.  Invoices are auto assessed Wednesdays BEFORE the active week and are due FRIDAYs BEFORE the active week.
  • The weekly (Monday-Friday) fee for After School Program care is $60 per week pre-paid per child.
  • The weekly (Monday-Friday, excluding Wednesday) fee is $45 per week pre-paid per child.
  • Wednesday care is available at the rate of $25 per day pre-paid per child.
  • Payments take 24 hours to process.
Only students registered for weekly, or Wednesday care may stay on Wednesday. The weekly or Wednesday fee is assessed
each week regardless of whether your child stays in ASP or not. The fee holds your student’s spot in ASP.
  • Accounts must have a credit, or no balance owed by Friday 10:00pm to attend ASP on any day of the following week
  • Parents will be contacted by phone or email provided on the registration form.
  • Students may not stay in ASP on any day of the week if a balance is owed.
  • Once the account has been brought current and a pre-payment has posted for the upcoming
           week, the student may return to ASP care.
  • Payments need to be made on MySchoolBucks.com or by money order. No other form of payment
           will be accepted.
  • Fees will be assessed weekly. **Please note that two weeks notice must be given to the ASP
          director in writing if there is a change in your child(ren)’s ASP need.** No fees will be assessed during school
          holiday weeks.
  • A late fee of $1.00 per minute per student will be assessed for all late pick-ups after 6:00 pm.
  • At this time, there is NO DROP-IN care with the After School Program. Students must be preregistered
          and pre-paid.
  • ***Effective January 3, 2024, a $10 Late Payment Fee will be automatically assessed if payments are not made by the designated due date ***
