Hello and welcome to the Visual Arts Program at BACS.  My name is Marianne Evans and I am the Art Teacher at Brighten.  I have a Master's Degree in Visual Arts Education from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, and a BA from Montclair State University in NJ.  Prior to joining BACS, I taught both elementary and middle school in Philadelphia, and also taught at the college level at Rowan College at Burlington County.

The Visual Arts program at Brighten encompasses Drawing,  Painting, Sculpture, Collage, and beginning in 2021, Ceramics.   All projects are firmly rooted in Discipline-Based Art Education and address Art Production, Art History, Art Critique and Aesthetics.
