Welcome to Theatre Arts!  My name is Toni Aybar and I am the Theatre Arts teacher and Brighten Broadway Director at Brighten Academy.  This is my 14th year at Brighten, my 11th directing Brighten Broadway, and my 8th year teaching Theatre Arts as an enrichment class.  I'm super excited to be offering Theatre Arts to every our elementary and middle school students!

I've been married to my wonderful husband, Jeffrey for 24 years and and we have two amazing boys - Alex, who is a attending Kennesaw State University majoring in Music Composition, and Evan who is attending Kennesaw State University majoring in Game Design.    When I'm not teaching or directing, I love to attend the theatre, see concerts, travel, and hike.  I also love to curl up with a good book (or three)!  I'm looking forward to a fun and productive year!  Please feel free to contact me any time at  [email protected].

In this class, we will be building life skills such as creativity, confidence, problem-solving, focus, communication and perseverance in fun and innovative ways as we explore the roles and technical aspects of theatre, acting, and improv.
