At this time there is no hard evidence for screen time guidelines in regards to time. The important thing to remember when utilizing technology is balance. Balance screen time with non-screen time activities. It is absolutely okay to let you students have screen time when not working on school assignments but choose activities that students have to interact with rather than just watching videos or scrolling through pictures. Make screen time & non-screen time engaging activities.

It is best practices not to let children take their electronic devices to their bedroom at night. Charge devices somewhere students do not have access to at night so they aren't tempted to log in. A good habit to start now is to put away all electronic devices at least 30-60 mintues before bed. Screens give off blue light and screen activities can stimulate brain function and disrupt sleep.
